Based in Patcham, on the northern outskirts of Brighton, we are a brass band formed for the purpose of making music to uplift and entertain the wider community – and have fun doing so!
We play a number of public and private engagements each year, and you can see a list of the next three public performances on this page. A more complete list can be found in the Hear Us section of this website.
A major aim of the band is to support anybody who would like to learn to perform brass music within our band, particularly the young. To this end we welcome all players, new or experienced, old or young into our friendly and wecoming community. You can find out more about how to join us and what to expect on the Booking or Joining page.
You can find out about our two bands, Youth and Senior on the relevant pages of this site. Both bands play to entertain the public throughout the year, and in particular we have busy Summer and Christmas schedules. The bands come together to perform twice a year at our Summer and Christmas concerts, which are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements particularly of our young players, of whom we are extremely proud.
We are affiliated with Brass Bands England, a charity which exists to promote and support Brass Bands in this country, and provides support with training, safeguarding and health and safety policies amongst nany other things.
In 2019 our Senior Band returned to contesting within the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain; we are currently in the 4th Section.
